I received an official document that praises me for something I know I do regularly.  The document goes into my professional file and it would seem to prove growth in areas that were designated as needing growth in my most recent performance review.

I make kids laugh, giggle, and seek me out.

Looking forward to a night with my wife on Friday.

So much fun with students.

"Boys night" with my 5 year old son.

Every hug that boy gives me.

Coming up with silly names for bad drivers, like "Speedy McGoesTooFast" and "Lightning DartsALot."

Ran into a coworker from where I was previously employed who LOUDLY quipped, "You're not missing anything! That's right. I said it. Out in the open..." She's awesome.

I know I made a difference in offering advice to friends.

I know I work with people who support asking for help.

Pizza.

My daughter did some weight-training with me.

Traffic was light.
Workload was not heavy.
There is at least one website for "Pantera Bread" & it rocks.
We had fish on a Monday and the thought that this somehow makes us "reverse Catholics" made me chuckle.
Bought some Ring Bologna and I know he kids will think of it as "beach meat" and we will all long for our OBX trip.

Tonight I needed to take a walk. My son requested to go with me. During our walk I asked why he wanted to walk with me. "Because I love you!" he replied in a tone that suggested I should've known.

My son can hug away any dark thought.

Things that made me smile today

I slept in.
My son can snuggle with me for an hour without me feeling like I'm "wasting time."
That was awesome sausage.
While the lottery ticket wasn't the winner I initially thought it was, it resulted in free ice cream.

My son chose to help with gardening.
My wife shared a wonderful kiss with me.

That a tired student still giggled when I played with him.

That the same student grinned when I discovered an old favorite song for him.

That the same student requested time with me as reward for doing good work.

The rain felt wonderful.

The giddiness of a student enjoying time with a musical instrument.
